How Ajimajasan Bowed To Prostate Cancer

Popular comedian and Yoruba actor, Ola Omonitan, a.k.a Ajimajasan, finally succumbed to the years of bouts with prostate cancer early October 18, 2108, at the premier teaching hospital, University College Hospital, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

He is survived by children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers.

A source said Aji Fada had been admitted to the South West wing of UCH several weeks ago and had been expending lots of money on his I’ll health, but couldn’t survive the cancer attack this time.
Twice, the actor was bailed out by the late Aare Musulumi of Yorbaland, Azeez Arisekola Alao, when he picked his medical bills for treatment in United States; the last of such trip reportedly in 2015.

With no sponsor this time, and not financially empowered; despite his many successes in the movie industry, the actor could not raise enough for the health institution.
“We kept paying money on daily basis, hopeful he would be alright at the end, but we still lost him,” one of his relatives told DNA (Doggone News Associated).

As many of his family members expected a miracle to happen, few were skeptical about his chances of surviving what has now becoming the silent killer of men in Nigeria.

Experts have called attention to Nigerian males to be wary prostate cancer as it is set to become the biggest killer of men in few years. Recently, a prominent professor in one of the federal government universities in the South West region recently.

Ajii, as he was also called, would have turned 82 in December.

His video series birthed season movies as he released “Bata Wahala” and “Ogun Laye”, which were 13 parts in the 90s and sold in it’s hundreds of thousands.

Although no burial plans have been released yet, DNA gathered from a family member that he would be buried at his house around Ina Olaji at Oluyole estate in Ibadan.
